Non-returnable
  • An immersion suit, also known as a survival suit or rescue suit, is a specialized body-covering suit designed for flotation and survival during emergencies at sea. It is an essential safety gear on ships and oil rigs, providing protection against cold water, rough seas, and hazardous situations.
  • SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) regulations specify requirements for immersion suits:
    • Each person on the ship must have an immersion suit.
    • Extra suits should be provided for the watchkeepers.
    • The suit should be unpacked and donned within 2 minutes without external help.
    • It must cover the whole body except the face, with hands covered unless permanently attached gloves are provided.
    • Retro-reflective tapes must be fitted for visibility.
